Dream Come True (found poem)

Last Goodbye (sonnet)

Last Goodbye

I remember every “last” goodbye
And how my poor heart trembled at the sound
How my eyes would tear, they ran dry
How glas I'd be when you'd come back around

But then you said that this time, you meant it
At that very moment, I could have died
No matter how I tried to prevent it
It left a horrible feeling inside

These days there are only two things I know
For my broken heart there is just one cure
Right back to you is where I need to go
And believe me that much I know for sure

But all I can do is remember you
I remember when I didn't have to
